THIS COURSE HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

The Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation.  This comprehensive course covers this specialty top to bottom and is required to earn the ABR® designation.

You have two great options to participate in the ABR designation class in 2024!

  • Ohio REALTORS is offering the ABR course this year at a 50% discount ($150 registration fee), with our programs providing 12 hours of CE and limited attendance, allowing for an interactive experience with your peers and Ohio REALTOR Presenter Brooke Yussim, an Associate Broker with The Danberry Co, Realtors in Maumee, OH.
  • NAR is offering the ABR course for FREE, available in live streaming format or online ‘at your own pace’ format.  Please note that these free offerings do not provide CE, and NAR's live streaming programs will have up to 5,000 attendees, allowing for minimal interaction with the presenter.

Course Goals:

  • Understand and demonstrate your value to today’s buyer.
  • Acquire the skills and resources to succeed as a buyer’s agent in a dynamic real estate market.
  • Help buyers find the right property at the right terms and price in both buyer’s and seller’s markets.

Learning Objectives:

  • The Value and Role of the Buyer Representative - What are your duties and responsibilities, and how can you convey your value to the buyer-client?
  • The Buyer Counseling Session - What can you do to ensure a seamless and productive buyer counseling session?
  • The Search-Showing-Selection Process - What are some of the best practices when it comes to guiding a buyer-client from the initial search through their final selection?
  • Offers and Negotiations - What are steps, opportunities, and choices when it comes time to guide your buyer-client through offers and negotiations?
  • From Contract to Closing - What are the steps you need to take to guide your client from contract to close?
  • Putting It All Together - What are the final steps you need to take to put everything together?

Not only do ABR® designees earn more, but member benefits such as publications, marketing tools, a referral network, and other resources, help them maintain that edge. Having ABR® after your name tells buyers that you’ll provide the attentive service they expect - now is the time, earn the ABR® designation!
