CE Credit

Each course in the GRI 201-209 series is certified for Ohio real estate credit, which includes one 3 hour core law program. Attendance to each of the GRI 201-209 classes is required to earn the GRI designation in addition to passing the GRI 100 Equivalency Exam.

How Do I Earn the GRI Designation?

The program consists of two courses levels, the GRI 100 Equivalency Exam and the GRI 201-209 virtual classes, which can be taken in any sequence, and are designed to benefit both experienced and inexperienced agents.

After completing the GRI 201-209 classes and passing the GRI 100 Equivalency Exam, there is a one-time application fee of $50 to hold the Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation. The GRI designation is a NAR designation offered and conferred by the State Associations. No yearly dues are required for this NAR designation. While all the courses are open to anyone, the right to use the GRI Designation is limited to those who maintain membership in the Local, State, and National Association of REALTORS.

What Is The GRI 100 Equivalency Exam?

The GRI 100 Equivalency Examination satisfies the requirements of the GRI 100 level of the program. Satisfactory completion of the exam indicates that you have the experience, other real estate classes, designations, and or certifications, pre-licensure courses and/or company training programs that have provided you the competency necessary to compete in the marketplace.

The examination topics consist of:

  • Residential Construction
  • Ethics
  • Antitrust
  • Agency Laws, Duties and Disclosures
  • Fair Housing
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Environmental Issues: Discovery & Disclosure

A GRI 100 completion certificate will be emailed upon successful completion of the exam.
