Anthony f. Forte’ currently serves as the Columbus Field Office Director for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) field operations in Columbus for the 53 central and southern counties of Ohio.
During his 17 years at HUD, he has served as a subject matter expert working with local grantees and nonprofits throughout Ohio for community, housing, homelessness and economic development programing.
Prior to join HUD, Mr. Forte served as the director of the Franklin County Department of Community and Economic Development department for the Franklin Co. Board of Commissioners, economic development manager for the City of Wheeling, West Virginia and community development officer for the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Regional Planning Commisson where he created, managed and directed community, economic, social services and housing development initiatives for over 33 years.
Mr. Forte holds a bachelor of art degree from Ohio University and holds numerous professional certifications and credentials in economic development finance. He and his life partner of 38 years, Karen, reside in Columbus and have three grown children, one grandchild and two fur-grandsons.
