Coaching Corner: One...ten...done!

Each day we wake up with the best of intentions to make this day the best (hopefully)! Then the day happens, and we look back and wonder what the heck happened! Part of the skillset of creating better days is to identify the actions that, if taken, would bring you to more ease and flow. You must be proactive and consistent with your actions to have consistent results -- this is true in all areas of your life.
Here’s your tool for the week -- create a task list of "10 Daily Habits" that you want to incorporate into your day. First, start from a personal perspective. Perhaps you are one of those people who inconsistently make your bed, but when you do, it feels really great. Or maybe you know you need to drink more water -- a good rule of thumb for that one is to divide your weight by half, and drink that many ounces of water per day. There are countless items you personally may want to add to your "10 Daily Habits" list. This is a very individual process, so you get to decide which items work for you. The action needs to be something that generates a good feeling when accomplished.
Now, you can also create a list for your business. What items do you need/want to accomplish on a daily basis. In this case, daily means Monday through Friday. You may, as an example, want to make sure you look at your leads to see if there is anything you need to do to follow up. Or, having a daily task of finding new business is also highly recommended. Notice I am not giving you a time period to accomplish these tasks. Some days you may have two hours, and others it may be 10 minutes. When you are following your "Daily" list, you will be training yourself into consistent action, regardless of the amount of time.
Have fun with this one, create a list that supports you and what you want, not what you think you “should” be doing! No “shoulding” on yourself!! :)
