Coridan named 2013 OAR "REALTOR of the Year"
Columbus REALTOR James H. Coridan was honored as the Ohio Association of REALTORS' 2013 REALTOR of the Year.
The announcement of Coridan's selection was made at the Association's 103rd Annual Convention, Sept. 8-10 in Columbus.
Coridan was nominated by the Columbus REALTORS and is associated with Keller Williams Excel Realty.
Judging of the REALTOR of the Year award is based on professional achievements, local REALTOR Board/Association activities, service to the Ohio and National Association of REALTORS, as well as business and education experience and civic activities.
Coridan served as president of the Columbus REALTORS in 2012. He has served on a variety of the Board's Committees, including its Budget, Finance & Investments, Governmental Affairs, Board of Consultants, Foundation Fund Advisory Board and C/I Recognition committees, among others.
On the state level, Coridan has served as a director since 2006 and as chairman of the OAR Commercial/Industrial Committee. He has also served as a member of the organization's Strategic Planning and Finance committees.
Nationally, Coridan served as a member of the National Association of REALTORS Board of Directors in 2012.
Coridan holds the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS) designation of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR), serving as the president of the Ohio Chapter in 2006.
Civically, he has been involved with the Red Cross, Children's Hospital, Faith Mission, American Cancer Society, Directions for Youth, Home Reach Hospice, and Muscular Dystrophy Association, among others.
The Ohio Association of REALTORS, with more than 26,000 members, is the largest professional trade association in Ohio.
