REALTOR Jim Camp, of North Canton, was honored with the Ohio REALTORS 2020 Mary L. Pollock Lifetime Achievement award.
The award, which was unveiled and presented last year to its namesake, is presented to a deserving Ohio REALTOR who has gone above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of the profession – someone who performs the hard, necessary work to move the organization forward without seeking the accolade or spotlight.
The announcement of Camp's selection was made at the Ohio REALTORS 110th Annual Convention & EXPO, held virtually, September 21-25.
Jim has devoted much of his time for the advancement of the REALTOR profession and Ohio’s REALTOR community – serving on countless association committees both at the local and state level and supporting Ohio REALTORS Political Action Committee (RPAC) as a Golden R investor.
Jim has been inducted into the NAR RPAC Hall of Fame, the OR RPAC Hall of Honor, and the Paul J Everson ACAR RPAC Hall of Fame. He is an active advocate of RPAC and serves as an ACAR / REALTOR Party representative at local political events.
“The Mary L. Pollock Lifetime Achievement Award is one of Ohio REALTORS hallmark awards. Jim Camp is such a worthy recipient of this award and has made a huge impact on the REALTOR community,” said President Chris Reese. “Jim is highly respected throughout Ohio in the real estate community and always presents a professional demeanor. Jim is a superb role model for other REALTORS.”
In addition, Jim is a valued part of the community and involved in organizations like Habitat for Humanity. He is also involved in the Jackson Local Schools Foundation, and the Jim Camp Visionary Leaders award was established in his name.
Mary Pollock was the first recipient of this award in 2019.
