Flood Insurance Extended to Dec. 20

Congress extended the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through Dec. 20 avoiding a lapse that would have occurred yesterday. The President signed the Bill.
The NFIP is being extended as part of the Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government operating while Congress works on 2020 appropriations measures over the next month. Now that NFIP is attached to the CR, there is less chance of a lapse in December. Nevertheless, the National Association of REALTORS will keep fighting for a long-term reauthorization measure and keep you updated.
