Coaching Corner: A very special day

Forty years ago today, my second set of twins made their appearance into our lives. Waiting at home for them were my first two, who at the time, had just turned two. These babies brought me to a point of incredible joy, mixed in with moments of what I can only describe as disbelief! In two years, we went from a family of two to a family of six!!
Life is interesting, isn’t it? You truly do not know what might come your way. I feel incredibly fortunate in my life, now enjoying my four grown men at the ages of 42 and 40. In reflection, there were certainly times that were not at the top of my happy hit parade -- teen age years were definitely not my favorite!
Celebrating our loved ones on their special day comes easily -- what about the other 364 days of the year? Do our special people feel loved and appreciated by us? How can we show them (without the birthday cake), how much they mean to us?
We all get caught up in the day-to-day tasks, and sometimes drama. Through your busy times, find those moments that show your loved ones how special they are to you. Don’t feel that you need to go big on this -- find things that you can appreciate about them...and then tell them!!! Make sure you thank them for what they do for you, rather than getting into a rut of only finding fault. You can turn that around right now!
