There are thousands of market forces at play in determining the value of a single piece of real estate. This course explores theories behind why the market reacts the way it does and why buyers and sellers make certain decisions.  The agent will gain knowledge of how the rise and fall of interest rates can have a drastic effect on home prices as well as home demand.  This course will explore the tragedy of the commons in determining whether a decision is in the best interest of a single person or for the entire community.  Finally, we will suggest strategies to help clients reach an agreement with their counterpart in a negotiation.

Brent combines his love of the real estate business with his passion for education.  He believes in delivering tools agents can use immediately to improve the quality and efficiency of their business.

He is broker/owner of his own real estate company, Brent Lancaster and Associates, and also President/CEO of one of the nation’s oldest real estate schools – Bob Brooks School of Real Estate.

CE Information & Required Technology:

  • This course is certified for 3 hours of real estate credit, and provides credit towards completion of the GRI 206 Course for the Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation.
  • Attendees will need to access the program with a device (phone, laptop, PC) that has a camera, speaker, microphone, and reliable, high-speed internet access. Video, audio, and internet access are all necessary to successfully attend class. Please make sure to test everything ahead of time at https://zoom.us/test
  • Attendees must turn on their video camera and stay within view during the program to receive CE, as active participation will be monitored. Per ODRE requirements, you must be present for at least 90% of the program to receive credit.
