Coaching Corner: The fine art of agreements

Let's start at the beginning...are you making clean agreements? Are you saying yes because it is truly a yes or because you think you “should”? How do you personally know the difference between your “yes” and your “no”? In working with people over the years, I have found that sometimes that distinction is not clear. So...here's the deal, short and sweet:

  1. Only make the agreements that you want to make.
  2. When you make an agreement, PLEASE keep the agreement.
  3. If something changes, you need to communicate the change in the agreement.
