Ohio Market Watch: Interest in renting remains unchanged
By Greg Stitz, OAR Director of Research
According to a recent Ohio Association of REALTORS housing market confidence survey only 14 percent of respondents noticed a decrease in consumer's interest in renting in their area over the past year. This is a negligible two percent lower than the findings from last October (when 16 percent noticed a decrease). This year, slightly more than half (52 percent) of survey respondents did not notice any change and the remaining 34 percent observed an increase in consumer's interest in renting.
Survey results are based on responses to a monthly survey, designed to capture the effects of the existing economic conditions and trends on the real estate industry, sent to a pool of 1,500 OAR participants. Click here to participate in future OAR Housing Confidence Surveys.
