Coaching Corner: Not to sound morose...

Coaching Corner: Not to sound morose...

Today I want to consider the idea of “goal setting” from a different perspective. Think about when the time comes and you are nearing the end of your life. When you look back upon those many days and years, what are those things that you want to make sure you have done. Time is so precious, isn't it? We often take for granted the time that we have, thinking in a similar fashion to Scarlett O'Hara that you will deal with that tomorrow. The truth is, we do not know when our time here will be complete so living our lives to the fullest is crucial!

This week, I invite you to identify your top three items that will make your life a complete success. We are just working backwards to bring them to mind. When you make your list, you may go totally to business activities, or a blend of business and personal. You may determine that there is a major physical goal that is important to you -- perhaps completing a marathon for example. Or, it may be to feel complete with all of the significant people in your life -- saying the things that often go unsaid. You might feel compelled to become a broker and open your own company.

There is no right or wrong here -- it is all about you and feeling that sense of accomplishment and completion. Let yourself get genuinely curious -- hmmm…..what would I need to feel complete looking back at my life? You might also look at this as a bit of a Bucket List, even though this to me is much deeper.

Life is so meaningful so cherish each moment! Enjoy!
