Ohio Market Watch: REALTORS report continued multi-generational buyer activity
By Greg Stitz, OAR Director of Research
For the second year in a row some Ohio REALTORS are seeing an increase in multi-generational home buyers (homes that include children over 18 moving home or caretaking for aging parents), according to January's OAR Housing Market Confidence Survey. Specifically, 39 percent of respondents have noticed an increase, while 61 percent do not see any change and zero percent notice a decrease. As a comparison, the percentage of respondents noticing a significant or slight increase last year was also 39 percent.
Survey results are based on responses to a monthly survey, designed to capture the effects of the existing economic conditions and trends on the real estate industry, sent to a pool of 1,500 OAR participants. Click here to participate in future OAR Housing Confidence Surveys.
