Coaching Corner: Routines or ruts?

- Perhaps your exercise regime might be a good place to look. Personally, if I did not have my workouts plugged into my schedule, they would not get done! This is a routine that totally supports my physical and mental self.
- Then there are those other activities that have become ruts. There may be a group you participate in on a regular basis that you no longer find engaging but continue to go because it is easier. Or...maybe you aren't even aware that you do not enjoy it -- it has gradually become something you just do without thought.
There is a time to create routines and a time to be spontaneous. It is not my call to make this determination for you, but merely to pose the questions. Think of both your personal life and your business life. What activities might you add some routine to, that will support your best self? Yes, make a list! Then next, what activities are you regularly participating in that no longer have “juice†for you? Yep, another list!
