Greg Blatt: A Career Shaped by Relationships and Community Impact

Jan 8, 2025

Greg Blatt has spent over four decades helping individuals and families navigate one of life’s biggest decisions—buying or selling a property. Based in Sugarcreek Township, a suburb of Dayton, Greg has built a career in the southwest Ohio real estate market, including the Dayton and Cincinnati areas. His deep understanding of the region, its trends, and its communities has made him a trusted resource for countless clients.

Greg’s path to real estate wasn’t a straight line. After earning his degree in radio, television, advertising, and public relations at Ohio University, he started working at Anheuser-Busch. But Greg soon learned the corporate world wasn’t the right fit. That’s when he decided to venture into real estate, seeking greater independence and the chance to build something meaningful.

“Interest rates were 21.7% at the time [in the 1980s]—an incredibly tough market. But those challenges taught me to think creatively and focus on solutions,” Greg said.

Greg’s philosophy has always centered on prioritizing the needs of his clients.

“People often think REALTORS® are just there for the transaction, but I see it as building a long-term relationship,” Greg said. “We want to be a trusted advisor, not just for the purchase or sale, but for years to come.”

In addition to his residential work, Greg has been deeply involved in commercial real estate, particularly land development. His efforts have contributed to the thoughtful growth of communities, from new shopping centers to residential complexes.

“REALTORS® have the unique opportunity to shape communities through purposeful development. Done well, it can strengthen a neighborhood and create opportunities for future generations,” Greg said.

Greg also believes in the transformative power of homeownership.

“Owning a home isn’t just about having a place to live—it’s about building equity and creating a foundation for financial security,” Greg said.

Homeownership, in his view, fosters pride and engagement, encouraging individuals to invest in their neighborhoods and contribute to their communities.

After decades in the industry, Greg finds fulfillment not only in the professional side of his work but also in the personal connections he’s made.

“Some of my most rewarding moments are when clients tell me, ‘Thank you for helping us through this process,’ or invite me to their family celebrations,” Greg said.

Greg’s thoughtful approach, depth of experience, and dedication to his clients have established him as a cornerstone of the real estate community in southwest Ohio. His work goes far beyond buying and selling—it’s about helping individuals and families find their place, build their future, and feel at home in every sense of the word.
