Ohio REALTORS President Ali Whitley clears up settlement misconceptions
Ohio REALTORS President Ali Whitley was featured in an opinion piece in the Akron Beacon Journal to help clear up misinformation from the recent NAR Settlement.
"As a longtime Akron-area Realtor, and as president of the Ohio Realtors, I have witnessed firsthand the value that Realtors bring to the table for both home sellers and buyers. But following the recent National Association of Realtors settlement, I have heard from many people who are confused or misunderstand what the settlement means. I’d like to share the facts," she said.
"The settlement is designed to address and improve transparency throughout real estate transactions. While some headlines may suggest otherwise, this settlement truly aims to enhance the home buying and selling experience — to make it easier for people — not to undermine it. The primary goal is to make sure consumers are fully informed and empowered throughout their real estate journey."
