Coaching Corner: Are you living large?
By Marilou Butcher Roth
Keep in mind, there is no destination with this concept, our potential for expansion will be ever present with us until we leave this world. Now, let's clarify “large†-- this does not need to be climbing Mt. Everest (although it could be). What it does mean is to be constantly tuning inward, to check in with yourself to determine what feels best to you. Does your chosen direction reflect your values and commitments?
What would your expansive business look like? Give this some thought, tossing ideas that most excite you. Is there a particular expertise you would like to lay claim to? Or, perhaps, you want to excel at listings? There is no right or wrong here, just checking in with your strongest desires and then taking steps to bring your desires into your reality.
We play small because we are afraid -- sometimes we are afraid that others will think we are “too much.†When we step into our “bigness,†it is true that those around us may become uncomfortable with our new level of confidence. Do not let this dissuade you in your endeavors. Living large brings us more into alignment with who we really are, and when we can do this, we feel exhilarated!
The choice is yours, are you willing to make it?
