Michael Jones receives Ohio's 2023 'REALTOR® of the Year' Award

Ohio REALTORS awarded its 2023 "REALTOR of the Year" to Michael Jones of Columbus REALTORS.
REALTOR® Michael Jones, of Columbus, was honored as the Ohio REALTORS® 2023 “REALTOR of the Year.”
Jones’s selection was announced at the Ohio REALTORS 113th Annual Convention & EXPO, Sept. 10-13, in Cincinnati.
Judging of the “REALTOR of the Year” award is based on professional achievements, local REALTOR Board/Association activities, service at Ohio REALTORS, and National Association of REALTORS (NAR) involvement, as well as business and education experience and civic activities.
Michael Jones has a distinguished resume of serving in leadership and in making a positive difference within the REALTOR organization.
In addition, Jones has devoted great energies to enhancing the local community… tirelessly giving their time and talent to benefit a variety of community and civic organizations.
For Columbus REALTORS, Jones served on and chaired a variety of Board committees including Finance and Strategic Planning, among others. Additionally, he has served on various special assignments, task forces and leadership roles – including serving as President of the Board.
His involvement at Ohio REALTORS is marked with equal distinction, as Jones has been an active participant in state governance meetings as a director...and been a member or chaired a host of committees, including Executive, Strategic Planning, Scholarship, Global Business, Convention Advisory and Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
Nationally, Jones served as a NAR Director and committee member, including Global Alliances, and as a Federal Political Coordinator.
Jones is a strong supporter of the REALTORS Political Action Committee (RPAC), evidenced by being a member of Ohio RPAC’s Hall of Honor at the $20,000 level.
Committed to professional development, Jones has earned several designations, including Graduate REALTORS Institute (GRI) Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Certified Internal Property Specialist (CIPS).
Locally Jones service in his community includes service as a member of the city board of zoning adjustment, an executive committee member for the county Democratic Party, a board member for the County Childhood Development Council, and serves as a mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
The Ohio REALTORS, with more than 36,000 members, is the largest professional trade association in Ohio.
