Meet the 2014 OAR Leadership Team: Hall, Hrabcak & Calo

Chris Hall of Oregon was elected as the 2014 president of the Ohio Association of REALTORS during the organization's 103rd Annual Convention Sept. 8-10, in Columbus. Elected to the post of president-elect was Greg Hrabcak of Westerville and to the office of treasurer, Sara Calo of Mayfield Village.
Chris Hall has been licensed since 1979, and acquired his broker's license in 1990. He currently serves as vice president for the Danberry Co. and manages the Oregon and Perrysburg offices.
On the local level, Hall served as president of the Toledo Board of REALTORS in 2004 and was honored as its “REALTOR of the Year†that same year.
On the state level, Hall has served as a District Vice President from 2008-2011, and as an OAR Director since the mid-1990s. He has chaired or served as a member of many OAR committees, including Strategic Planning, Local Government, Enlarged Legislative and Legislative Steering. Additionally, he was appointed to The Education and Research Advisory Group by the Superintendent of the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing, until it was disbanded.
Nationally, Hall serves as a director of the National Association of REALTORS and as the State Representative to the Risk Management Committee.
Additionally, Hall holds the CRB (Certified Residential Broker) designation of NAR.
Hall has two daughters and three grandsons and resides in Oregon.
2014 OAR President-elect, Greg Hrabcak has been involved in the sale and leasing of commercial, industrial, investment and office real estate since graduating from The Ohio State University in 1984. He is currently a broker/agent for HER Commercial Real Estate Services in Columbus.
On the local level, Hrabcak served as president of many Columbus real estate organizations including Columbus REALTORS in 2008, and the Columbus Commercial Industrial Investment REALTORS (1993), the Ohio Business Brokers Association (1992), and the Columbus Real Estate Exchangers (1994).
On the state level, Hrabcak served as an OAR District Vice President in 2011-2012 and as an OAR Director since 1999. He has chaired numerous OAR committees including Enlarged Legislative, Legislative Steering, Legal Action, Commercial Industrial, as well as the Local Government and Professional Standards Forums.
On the national level, Hrabcak serves as a NAR Director. He is also serving as the chair of the NAR Commercial Real Estate Research Subcommittee and is a member of the Commercial and Research Committees. Hrabcak is also the Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Pat Tiberi.
Additionally, Hrabcak holds the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation of NAR and received the Columbus REALTORS $25 Million Award in 2011. He is a real estate class instructor and has developed programs for Columbus REALTORS, OAR and NAR, as well as instructed courses at the Columbus State Community College.
Hrabcak, and his wife, Donna, reside in Westerville.
2014 OAR Treasurer, Sara Calo is with The Calo Group at Howard Hanna Real Estate Services in Mentor.
On the local level, Calo served as president of the Lake & Geauga Area Association of REALTORS in 2009 and 2010 and was honored as its REALTOR of the Year in 2008.
On the state level, Calo was a District Vice President in 2011-2012 and has been an OAR Director since 2005. She has chaired numerous OAR Committees, including Communications, Political Activity & RPAC Fundraising and the Economic Issues and Trends Forum, and has served as a member of its Professional Standards Forum, Legislative Steering and Executive Committees, among others.
Additionally, she has been active at the local and state level of the Women's Council of REALTORS, including service as President of the local chapter in 2008. She holds the ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), PMN (Performance Management Network) and e-Pro designations of NAR. Calo has received the OAR President's Sales Club Award of Distinction.
Civically, she served as Chairman of the Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and is a member of HOLA (Hispanic Organization of Lake & Ashtabula). Calo was appointed to the Lake County Board of County Commissioners -- ADAMHS Board (2009-2012).
Calo, and her husband, Jack, have two daughters and four grandchildren and reside in Mayfield Village.
