Coaching Corner: Tiny steps to success
By Marilou Butcher Roth
Or not...regardless of the reason, many folks are experiencing a malaise of sorts and then blaming themselves for not feeling and behaving in a productive manner. There's a lot of “shoulding†going on! In my estimation, the cause is not as important as how we move forward, how we find our connection again.
At the beginning of the year, lofty goals are often set, looking at our bigger picture. Maybe it's just time to slow down and take tiny steps to get us where we want to go. Yes, you may have a laundry list of items that you want to accomplish — just pick one that you absolutely want to get done — just one! One at a time! If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, back away. Find something to distract yourself that you enjoy, and then go back. Be gentle with yourself, everything will get done — don't fret, just take one tiny step at a time until you find yourself back in the swing of your life that you love!
