Ohio REALTORS encourages spending of ARPAs funds on affordable housing
Led by the Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio, Ohio REALTORS joined in urging Governor DeWine, Senate President Huffman, House Speaker Cupp, and Members of the General Assembly to move quickly to allocate the remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds toward affordable housing programs across the state. The funds must be obligated to eligible projects by the end of September 2025.
Ohio desperately needs housing of all types, especially affordable housing for the most vulnerable Ohioans. Affordable housing allows a tenant to stabilize their finances and ultimately be better prepared to purchase a home. Ohio REALTORS supports the efforts of the coalition, and we encourage Ohio’s leaders to move expeditiously to allocate these funds toward the housing needs of Ohioans. To read the letter, click here.
