Ohio Political Coordinator Spotlight: Brian Whitta
Our “Political Coordinator Spotlight” shines on Brian Whitta, who serves as the profession’s State Political Coordinator for Sen. Rob McColley (R- District 1).
Whitta, of Findlay, is a member of the Northwest Ohio REALTORS. He has served the real estate industry in a variety of capacities over the past 16 years, including serving as a Ohio REALTORS District 2 Vice President and as a member of the organization's Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, Local Government Forum, Ohio REALTOR Party, Professional Standards and on Legislative Steering, among others.
Locally, he is a member of the Northwest Ohio REALTORS Board of Directors and served as a board member for the former Heartland Board. He served on the task force to create the Northwest Ohio REALTORS from the merger of the Heartland Board and Toledo Regional Association of REALTORS. In 2018, Whitta was named "REALTOR of the Year" by the former Heartland Board of REALTORS.
Whitta has earned the professional designations of ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative through the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council), CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager through the Real Estate Business Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist through the Residential Real Estate Council), GRI (Graduate, REALTORS Institute through the Ohio REALTORS), and SRS (Seller Representative Specialist through the Real Estate Business Insitute). He has earned the professional certifications of C-RETS (Certified Real Estate Team Specialist through the Real Estate Business Institute), PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor through the National Association of REALTORS), and RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert through the Real Estate Business Institute). He a C2EX (Commitment to Excellence) endorsed REALTOR through NAR.
Civically, he is a past president and former board member of the Kiwanis Club of Findlay. He also served as the 2020 Chair of the Advisory Board for the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce. Whitta is a 2016 graduate of Hancock Leadership, and a 2018 graduate of Ohio REALTORS Leadership Academy. Additionally he serves as a lector, eucharistic minister, live-streaming, member of the music ministry and past member of the School Advisory Council for St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish.
Whitta serves as 2021 State President of the Ohio Residential Real Estate Council.
Since its launch three years ago, Ohio's Political Coordinator program has allowed the organization to pair REALTORS directly with legislators in the Ohio General Assembly.
