Steve Brown honored with 'Lifetime Achievement' award

REALTOR Steven C. Brown, of Dayton, was honored with the Ohio Association of REALTORS 2012 Vincent T. Aveni Lifetime Achievement Award.
Brown is associated with Irongate REALTORS, Dayton. He is a past president of both OAR and the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS.
The Vincent T. Aveni Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes those past presidents of the Ohio Association of REALTORS that provided exemplary service to the organization. Aveni served as president of the organization in 1980 and the award was created after his passing in 2006.
On the state level, Brown served as president of the Ohio Association of REALTORS in 2002.
Additionally, he was a recipient of the organization's Phillip R. Barnes RPAC Achievement Award (2007), for his extraordinary commitment to the REALTORS Political Action Committee. Brown has been inducted into the National Association of REALTORS RPAC Hall of Fame. He has served as a member of the OAR Board of Directors since 1999.
On the national level, Brown is currently serving as NAR First Vice President and will serve as President-elect of the organization in 2013 and as President in 2014. He previously served as an NAR Director from Ohio (1999, 2001-2003, 2005-2012) and as NAR Region 6 Vice President, representing Ohio and Michigan, in 2005.
