Tiffany Meyer receives OAR's 2015 'REALTOR of the Year' award
Ashland REALTOR Tiffany Meyer was honored as the Ohio Association of REALTORS' 2015 REALTOR of the Year.
The announcement of Meyer's selection was made at the Association's 105th Annual Convention, Sept. 20-22 in Columbus.
Meyer was nominated by the Ashland Board of REALTORS and is associated with Howard Hanna J.C. Meyer REALTORS.
Judging of the REALTOR of the Year award is based on professional achievements, local REALTOR Board/Association activities, service to the Ohio and National Association of REALTORS, as well as business and education experience and civic activities.
Meyer served as president of the Ashland Board of REALTORS in 2005 again in 2014. She has served as member and in leadership on a variety of the Board's Committees, including its Broker, Grievance, Public Relations, REALTORS Political Action Committee (RPAC), Website, MLS, Nominating, Professional Standards, and Legislative committees, among others. She has also served on a Board subcommittee regarding septic system regulations.
She has been a REALTOR since 1995, following graduation with a bachelor's degree in real estate, urban analysis and marketing from The Ohio State University.
On the state level, Meyer served as OAR District Vice President (2008-2009 and 2014-2015) and has been a director since 2004. She served as has served as a member of the organization's Board of Directors and as chair of the OAR Legislative, Young Professionals, and Strategic Planning committees. She has also served as a member of the Executive, Legal Action, Legal Issues, and Products & Services committees. Additionally, Meyer chaired OAR's Generational Diversity Task Force and served as a member of its Contingency Planning and Licensing task forces. Meyer was recently elected by the OAR Board of Directors to join the organization's three-member leadership team as Treasurer beginning in 2016.
Meyer has served as a member of the National Association of REALTORS' Convention and Land Use committees. She holds NAR's Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) professional designation and is working toward the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. She contributes to RPAC at the Sterling R Major Investor Level.
She has also acted as the organization's liaison with Congressman Bob Gibbs since 2011. Meyer was instrumental in working with Rep. Gibbs in introducing the Waters of the US legislation into Congress.
Civically, she has been involved with the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as member of its Legislative Committee and Young Professionals Network. She has also been involved with the Ashland County Humane Society, Leadership Ashland Graduate, Future Farmers of America, Ashland County Republican Party and offers life skill training on home ownership at local high schools.
Meyer resides in Loudonville.
