Cleveland REALTOR Seth Task takes the leadership rein of Ohio REALTORS

Seth Task, of Cleveland, was installed as the 2021 president of the Ohio REALTORS during the Association’s Virtual Winter Conference, Jan. 25-26. Joining Task on this year's Leadership Team are President-elect John Mangas, of Toledo, and Treasurer Ralph Mantica, of Dayton.
Ohio REALTORS 2021 President Seth Task is associated with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Professional Realty.
Task has served as member and in leadership on a variety of Akron Cleveland Association of REALTOR Committees, including serving as its first president in 2014 after participating on the merger task force between the former Cleveland and Akron boards. He leads The Task Team and has been a REALTOR since 2005, ending 2020 having assisted 170 buyers and sellers of property. He has appeared before the Federal Reserve Bank, FHFA, Rural Housing Services and the Department of Housing and Urban Development as an expert in his field.
On the state level, Task served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2011. He has served on and often led a number of the organization’s committees and task forces, including: Executive, Finance, Legislative Steering, YPN, Convention, Professional Development, Global Business Alliance and Communications, among others.
Task has served as a chairman of the NAR Federal Finance & Housing Policy Committee and the Conventional Financing & Policy Committee and is currently on the board of directors of NAR and its Strategic Thinking Advisory Committee. He earned the Green and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) professional designations from NAR, its Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement, and is a 2015 NAR Leadership Academy graduate. He contributes to RPAC at the Golden R Major Investor level and as a President’s Circle member. Task is a member of the inaugural class of the Ohio REALTORS RPAC Hall of Honor inducted in 2019.
Civically, he has been involved with the Solon Chamber of Commerce, served on the Board of Directors of Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Cleveland, has been a Cleveland Masonic Lodge Brother since 1995, and is the secretary of the Gates Mills Elementary Parent Teacher Club (PTC).
He resides in Gates Mills with his wife Lesley and two sons, Ryan and Elliot. His daughter Madison is a graduate of The Ohio State University and resides in Cincinnati.
Ohio REALTORS 2021 President-elect John Mangas is principal broker of RE/MAX Preferred Associates.
Mangas has served as a member and in leadership on a variety of Toledo Regional Association of REALTORS Committees, including serving as its President in 2014. Additionally, he was honored as its Citizen of the Year in 2016, REALTOR of the Year in 2009 and has chaired the Toledo Regional Association’s RPAC and Legislative & Government Affairs committees, among others. Mangas, who was first licensed in 1981, opened RE/MAX Preferred Associates with Kathy Kuyoth in December 2001.
On the state level, Mangas has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2006. He has served as a member and in leadership for a number of the organization’s committees and task forces, including: Executive, Finance, Legislative Steering, Professional Development, Strategic Planning, Issues Mobilization, Convention and Business Technologies.
Mangas has served on the National Association of REALTORS’ Single Family Investment Management Council and Broker Advisory Council. He has contributed to RPAC as a Sterling R Investor since 2014.
Civically, he has been past chair of the United Way Community Builder Program. Additionally, he has been involved with the Children’s Miracle Network and the Susan B. Komen for the Cure for the past 26 years, raising more than $400,000. Mangas is an active member and parish council member, of the Olivet Lutheran Church in Sylvania.
Mangas and his wife, Ann, were married in 1982. They have two children, Grant age 30 and Nicole age 27. They reside in Sylvania, Ohio.

Mantica has served as a member and in leadership on a variety of Dayton REALTORS committees and task forces, including serving as its President in 2015. Additionally, he was honored as its REALTOR of the Year in 2018, served as Dayton Director (2011-2016), on the Finance Committee (2013-present) and was a member of organization's Joint Forms Task Force in collaboration with the Cincinnati Area Board of REALTORS.
On the state level, Mantica has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2006. He has served as a member and in leadership for a number of the organization’s committees and task forces, including: Executive, Finance, Legislative Steering, Issues Mobilization and Legal Issues among others. He is a 2016 graduate of the Ohio REALTORS Leadership Academy, served as District 5 Vice President (2018-2019), acts as the Association's State Political Coordinator for Ohio Rep. Jim Butler (R-District 41) and was selected as Ohio's REALTOR of the Year in 2018.
Mantica has served on the National Association of REALTORS’ Federal Taxation Committee and Workgroup and Issues Mobilization. He was a NAR Director in 2015 and has recently earned the Association's Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement. He has contributed to RPAC as a Sterling R Investor since 2014 and served as Ohio RPAC Major Investor Council Chair in 2018.
He has earned the Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), and the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) professional designations offered by NAR. He served as president of Ohio CRS in 2019. He is a 1980 graduate of the University of Dayton and was first licensed in 1985.
Mantica is an active member and parish council member of St. Albert the Great in Kettering. He is a member of the Archbishop Alter High School's Knights of Gold, a football alumni association.
Mantica and his wife, Kathy, who were married in 1981, reside in Kettering. They have three children, Christopher, Michael and Tim, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren.
