Some Ohio counties granted extension on property tax collection

In an effort to provide taxpayers relief from hardship caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, several counties across the state have requested that the Ohio Department of Taxation issue an extension to the July 20 deadline to collect real property taxes. Counties must request this authority from the State Tax Commissioner, and the following counties have been granted an extension:
Belmont County – new deadline August 21, 2020
Cuyahoga County – new deadline August 13, 2020
Delaware County – new deadline August 20, 2020
Franklin County – new deadline August 5, 2020
Geauga County – new deadline July 22, 2020
Hamilton County - deadline was June 22, now July 17, 2020
Montgomery County – new deadline August 14, 2020
Monroe County – new deadline August 19, 2020
Paulding County – new deadline August 17, 2020
Washington County – new deadline August 14, 2020
