CEO Insight: Ohio REALTORS providing $533K to rebuild communities impacted by tornadoes
Ohio REALTORS Chief Executive Officer Scott Williams provides an update on the organization's ongoing effort to help rebuild communities in the Miami Valley that were devastated by tornadoes on Memorial Day. To date, with the assistance of the National Association of REALTORS, the Ohio REALTORS Housing Disaster Relief Fund has provided nearly $400,000 to 460 affected residents since the launch of the program on June 6. The Fund, which is available on a first come, first served basis until Aug. 16, will be making more than $533,000 in direct relief available. Residents are able to apply for up to $1,000 in nonrepayable grants for mortgage or rental payments if their residence was damaged by the tornadoes.
Williams extends a special thanks to NAR's REALTORS Relief Fund and the dozens of Local Boards/Association and individual REALTORS who have made financial donations to the Ohio REALTORS Housing Disaster Relief Fund. Additionally, he showcases the new specialty license plate which will allow members to drive with Ohio REALTORS pride, as well as help bolster the organization's Relief Fund.
