Broker risk reducation: Cyber fraud
Katie Johnson, NAR’s Senior Vice President & General Counsel spoke on risk reduction topics last week during the mid-year meetings in Washington, DC. In the area of cyber fraud, Johnson warned members that criminals are currently hacking into email accounts and using information in those accounts to dupe homebuyers into fraudulent wire transfers.
